Instructions & Cables Needed For Downloading Symbian Mobile Speak On A Nokia 6650 Cell Phone

Developed as an application to assist blind people in accessing their mobile phone, MobileSpeak provides voice prompts and Braille (if the phone is outfitted with a Braille device) for browsing the Internet, phone configurations, sending and receiving text messages, as well as file management. You can download the MobileSpeak to your Nokia 6650 phone in much the same way you download other applications.

Instructions

1. Connect your Nokia 6650 to your computer using the USB cable.

2. Go online to the MobileSpeak download page (see Resource). Click the box beside "Mobile Speak," and click the "Next" button. Select "Nokia" from the drop-down menu, and select "6650 (AT&T)" from the next drop-down menu. Click the "Next" button. Select your language, and click "Next." Click "Mobile Speak 4.5" and save the file to your desktop. Click the "Software voice" link, which will vary depending on what language you chose, and save the file to your desktop.

3. Launch PC Suite from your program files. Navigate to your desktop, and double-click the file called "MobileSpeak_S60_v4.50.sis." Allow PC Suite to automatically install the application to your Nokia 6650. When the process has finished, return to your desktop, double-click the language file, and allow it to automatically load to your Nokia 6650's Mobile Speak application.
