Cut Music To Make Ringtones

To cut your music to turn it into a ringtone, you will need some audio-editing software. If you don't have any audio-editing software on your computer, you can download a free program that will allow you to do everything you need to do. You can also find a ringtone maker online, such as mp3mer.com. This site will allow you to import a song, cut it down and then send it to your phone as a ringtone.


Instructions


1. Install audio-editing software onto your computer. You can shop around and buy the software that you like the best. To cut down music to make it to a ringtone, you don't need very advanced software. You can find free software that will do exactly what you need. Audacity is a good free program that can be found at audacity.sourceforge.net.


2. Open your audio-editing software and import your song. Go to "File," click on "Open" and navigate to your song file. Double-click it, and it will open up in the software. Your song will be displayed on a sound wave graph.


3. Listen through the song to know what part of the song you want to cut out. With your mouse, highlight the part you want to cut and press "Delete" on your keyboard. If you make a mistake, press "Ctrl" + "Z" to undo an edit. If you're using a Mac, press the apple button + "Z" to go back.


4. Save your newly edited song as a new file. Now you can send the song to your phone as a ringtone however your phone instructs you to do so.
