Adjust Video Privacy Settings In Skype

Knowing that anyone with Skype can see you during a video chat can be discomforting. Luckily, Skype has privacy settings to protect you during video calls and video conferences. Follow these steps to adjust video privacy settings in Skype.

Instructions

1. Open Skype. Double click the "Skype" icon on your desktop. Or, if Skype is already running, double-click the icon in the system tray.

2. Log in to Skype. Enter your username and password.

3. Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the window.

4. Click "Options." In version two, this is the last option on the "Tools" menu.

5. Click the "Video" tab. If you want to disable the video, uncheck the "Enable Skype Video" option. You can also set other preferences. For example, you can control who can video chat with you.

6. Click the "Privacy" tab. This will display additional general privacy settings that also apply to video. You can change who can contact and chat with you.
