Transfer Messages From The Nokia N70 Mobile To The Laptop

It's simple to transfer any information on your Nokia E70 to your laptop.

Due to technological advancement in cell phones, people use a lot of the information held in their mobile phones to organize their lives. With that in mind, it is comforting to know that technology has also allowed for this information to be backed up to your PC for safe and secure storage. The Nokia Ovi Suite is a free package of Windows-based PC applications developed especially for use with Nokia phones. In most versions of the software you can edit, synchronize, and back up most of your phone's files, including text messages, through a USB cable or wireless Bluetooth or infrared connection.

Instructions

1. Download the latest version of the Nokia Ovi Suite from the Nokia Website (see Resources).

2. Take the USB cable that came with your phone and plug the small end into your phone and the large end into your laptop. Wait for the device to register.

3. On your Nokia E70, select the USB mode "Mass storage."

4. Once it has registered your device, your laptop will open the Nokia Phone Browser window of Nokia Ovi Suite automatically. Scroll down to the phone icon in folders view and click to see the contents of your phone.

5. Right click on the "Messages" folder and click on "Copy to computer". Nokia Ovi Suite will show you the progress of the copy and alert you to any problems with the transfer.
