Use A Belkin Kvm With A Usb Keyboard

A KVM switch, which standard for Keyboard, Video and Mouse, is used to connect multiple computer systems to a single keyboard, mouse and a video device, such as a computer monitor. Belkin KVM switches are designed to switch between the different computers using different methods, depending on the particular model. You can use a Belkin KVM switch with a USB keyboard to manage multiple computer systems with a single set of input hardware.


Instructions


1. Insert the keyboard connector for each switch port into each computer.


2. Insert the mouse connector for each switch port into each computer.


3. Insert the video connector for each switch port into each computer.


4. Connect the video device, such as a monitor, to the display output port on the KVM switch.


5. Connect the mouse to the mouse input port on the KVM switch.


6. Connect the USB keyboard to the keyboard input on the KVM switch.


7. Power on each computer connected to the KVM switch.


8. Power on the display device.


9. Switch between each computer. Most Belkin KVM switches change the displayed computer by pressing the "Scroll Lock" key twice on the USB keyboard. Refer to the KVM switch owner's manual for details.
