The Steps To Default Your 57i Phone

Aastra Telecom's 57i is a business telephone that allows you to make, receive and transfer calls and conduct conference calls, as well as use Voice Over Internet Protocol. It supports up to nine call lines, has a speakerphone and features hold and redial keys and volume control. The 57i phone has 12 programmable keys for configuring speed dial and other features. If you want to undo modifications that have been made to the phone's settings, there are steps you can take to restore it to default settings.


Power


Make sure the phone is plugged in and operational.


Options


Press the wrench-shaped icon on the phone to enter the "Options" list.


Administrator Menu


Press the navigation keys to select the "Administrator Menu."


Administrator Password


Type in the administrator password (the default is 22222).


Factory Default


Press the navigation keys to select "Factory Default." For a phone with a three-line LCD display, the "Restore Defaults?" prompt appears, and the user enters "#" to confirm. For eight- and 11-line LCD phones, the "Reset Phone to Factory Defaults?" prompt appears, and the user presses "Default" to confirm. The 57i phone is now reset to its default state.
