Open Jar & Jad Files On A Cell Phone

Open JAR & JAD Files on a Cell Phone

JAR (Java Archive) and JAD (Joint Application Development) files are packaged files containing games and applications that can be unpacked onto your cell phone with the use of a personal computer. Unlike similar files used by smartphones, JARs and JADs are used on older and cheaper phones since the file size is always small and can be easily extracted in order to load a game or application.

Instructions

1. Attach the phone to your computer with its USB cable.

2. Click and drag the JAR or JAD files to the root (starting) directory of your phone. On some phones, you need to instead move these to a games or apps folder.

3. Unplug the USB cable from the phone and the computer.

4. Navigate to the "Applications" or "Games" directory on the phone, where you will see the JAR or JAD file.

5. Select the option to run or install the file. The application will be on your phone and ready for use.
