Wireless Problems With A Lexmark 6500

Lexmark is an international publicly held company that specializes in professional imaging products. One of the printers in its line is the Lexmark 6500 printer, which operates wired and wirelessly.

Network

In order for the Lexmark 6500 to work as a wireless printer, it needs to be connected to a functioning wireless network. If you are experiencing problems printing wirelessly, the first step you should take is to verify that your wireless network is functioning properly.

Verify Range

Your printer also needs to be in range of the wireless network. Network ranges will vary depending on the router you use. Typically, the printer should be within 100 to 150 feet of your wireless router.

Standard Checks

Make sure to check that the printer is plugged in and turned on. The Lexmark 6500 also requires software to function properly, referred to as a "driver." Make sure that you have installed the driver to your computer or visit the Lexmark website in order to download the driver.
