Take An Lg 5400 Cell Phone Apart

Learn take apart an LG VX-5400 mobile phone.

Just like any electronic device, the electrical components of your LG VX-5400 phone malfunction and go bad. Instead of throwing the phone away or buying a replacement, replacing the components yourself can save you a considerable amount of time and money. Replacing components in your phone often requires a complete disassembly of your mobile device. Because cell phones are so small, disassembly can be challenging. Pace yourself, and pay attention to how you are disassembling your phone.

Instructions

1. Turn off the cell phone, and then remove the rear cover, battery and SIM card. Remove the antenna tube from of its bottom holder and push as far as possible out of the way. Remove the four T6 Torx screws from the battery compartment.

2. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to separate the rear cover from the phone. Lift the circuit board out of the cell phone, and then disconnect the circuit board cable from the phone and place the board out of the way.

3. Open the cell phone screen panel, and place the phone so the screen is face up. Remove the four rubber screw covers and Phillips-head screws from the front screen panel. Push on the two securing latches on either side of the screen cover, and then remove the screen cover and set it aside.

4. Lift the now-exposed screen out of the phone, disconnect the screen cable from the keypad and remove the screen from the phone and set it aside.

5. Disconnect the keypad from the phone casing assembly, and then remove the keypad and set it aside.

6. Repeat this procedure in reverse order to re-assemble the LG VX-5400.
