TracFone is a mobile service provider offering affordable prepaid and monthly, no-contract cellular plans. Most of their mobile phones include a security lock feature to prevent people from using your phone without permission. When enabled, the security lock restricts outgoing phone calls to emergency 911 calls. To unlock a TracFone, enter your security code when prompted.

1. Press the right soft key under the word "Unlock." Enter your four-digit password.
2. Remove the lock code by pressing "*64." Enter your four-digit code.
3. Press "1" for the Lock Code option. Choose "Unlock" to remove the password lock on your phone. Press "OK." To reactivate the security lock, follow Steps 2 and 3, but choose "Lock."
Nokia
4. Enter your four-digit unlock code when prompted, typically immediately after turning on the phone.
5. Remove the security lock by going to the "Menu" and choosing "Settings." Choose "Security Settings," "Access Codes," then "Phone Lock."
6. Choose "Off" to unlock your phone and to keep it from asking for a security code. To reactivate the security lock, follow Steps 2 and 3, but choose "On."
Motorola
7. Press any button to activate the password prompt. Enter your four-digit security lock password.
8. Remove the security lock by going to "Menu," then "Settings." Choose "Security" and "Phone Lock."
9. Choose "Lock Now" and "No." Reactivate the security lock by choosing "Yes" on this last option.
