The Nokia E71 smartphone comes preloaded with several applications that fulfill business and entertainment needs, such as a calendar application and a music player. Unlike most smartphones, the applications on the Nokia E71 are not neatly organized in one folder or section of the phone. Still, you can run your applications as needed by navigating the phone's main menu and submenus.
Instructions
1. Press the left soft key under the word "Menu" to open the Nokia E71's main menu. A grid of applications, folders and other functions appears on the screen. The left and right soft keys have a blue "-" on them and are located below the screen. They perform the action written above them on the screen.
2. Highlight the application you want to run or the folder with the application you want to run using the scroll key, which is square and located in the middle of the phone, below the screen.
3. Press the scroll key to start the application or open the folder with the application in it. Another list appears on the screen if you opened a folder.
4. Highlight the application you want to run and press the scroll button.
