If you get a disk write error when transferring photos, delete the iPod photo cache and start uploading again. It might be something as simple as a loose connection. For example, if you use the wrong size dock for your iPod, it might strain the connectors and cause errors.
Warning
When restoring an iPod, back up all data first. Once the iPod restores, all songs and other files loaded on the iPod are deleted. You cannot undo the restore process.
