Connect A Bluetooth H500

The Motorola H500 Bluetooth headset allows users to control most of the functions available on their Bluetooth-enabled cell phone. The headset sits in the user's ear, freeing his hands to perform other tasks while talking on the phone. The wireless connection is good up to 30 feet. In order to use the H500 with your cell phone, you need to connect, or pair, the devices together.

Instructions

1. Charge the headset by plugging the small end of the charger into the charging port located on the end of the headset. Plug the opposite end of the charger into an electrical outlet. The indicator light turns on when the headset is charging and turns off when the headset is finished charging.

2. Turn off the headset by pressing and holding the "Call" button until the indicator light flashes rapidly and then shuts off. The "Call" button is located on the front of the headset and has the symbol of a phone handset on it.

3. Press and hold the "Call" button until the indicator light comes on and remains steadily lit. The H500 is now in pairing mode.

4. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3 if you release the button and the indicator light flashes.

5. Search for available Bluetooth devices with your cell phone. The instructions for searching for Bluetooth devices are different for each phone, but generally require locating the "Bluetooth" menu and selecting "Search for Devices." A list of available devices will appear on the phone's screen when the search is complete.

6. Select "Motorola H500" from the list of available devices. A passkey prompt will appear on the screen.

7. Enter "0000" as the passkey using the phone's keypad and select "OK." The phone is now ready for use with the H500.
