Unlock Your Cell Phone For Free

unlock cell phone codes free

Unlocking a cell phone is an alternative for those who travel and want to reduce those costly roaming charges. And for those who buy a used cell phone and discover that the phone does not work with their carrier. Most U.S. cell phone users are locked into one phone provider. This means their cell phone will only work with that service. For those that have a GMS locked cell phone there is another option. Obtain a free code to unlock cell phones. Once the cell phone is unlocked obtain a sim card for the new GMS cell phone provider and you are good to go! Follow these steps.

Instructions

1. Google "free cellular phone unlock codes" and click on over to the top sites in the search results. Once there search for your cellular phone model in the sites lineup. And follow their instructions to unlock your cellular phone model.

2. Or simply surf to this site: http://www.mobileunlock.co.uk/ Look through the listings for your cellular phone number. And it is important to obtain your cellular phones IMEI number. Look under the battery for the number.

3. Once the code is obtained enter it per instructions into the cell phone and your GMS phone should be unlocked. Now, the cell phone can be used with most U.S. carriers with compatible GMS phone service.

4. Also, there is a free software on the Internet available that supplies unlock code for most Nokia cell phones. Find it at Downloads.com. Link at end of article.

Compare Bluetooth Speakerphones

Bluetooth speakerphones allow hands-free, wireless connection to compatible devices.

Bluetooth wireless technology allows your cell phone to connect to a wireless speaker for hands-free calling. Speakerphone's with Bluetooth connectivity offer the ability to make safer phone calls while driving, making them ideal for use in the car.

Features

The feature lists of differing Bluetooth speakerphone models provides an excellent starting point for your comparison. When looking at different devices, make note of features that interest you and specific speakerphones that have those features. The list varies from caller-ID display, voice commands and call quality to music playback and solar power capabilities.

Expert Insight

As with many electronics, reviews of many popular Bluetooth speakerphones are readily available online. Not only do the reviews provide expert insight in plain English that the specifications and feature list may lack, you can often order the reviews from best-to-last. This allows you to see which speakerphones a specific website recommends. You can then compare those results with reviews on other websites, telling you which Bluetooth speakerphones are popular among the experts.

Price and Size

If you're on a budget, the easiest way to compare speakerphones is to shop by price range. Many websites allow you to select a specific range of money you're willing to spend. This also shows you what features to expect within specific price ranges. The size of the device may also matter if your car is tight on space.

Bluetooth Headsets

Bluetooth headsets offer an alternative to speakerphones. An average headset often costs less than a speakerphone but doesn't have some of the features that only work on speakerphones, like caller-ID or a display screen.

Set Up A Refrigerator To Hang Deer

Setting Up the Refrigerator to Hang Deer

Newly killed deer must be aged in the refrigerator before being butchered to produce tender meat. During the first 24 hours of death, the deer goes through rigor mortis, which causes the muscles to stiffen. Butchering while these muscles contract will result in tough meat. For those who do not live in cold temperatures of 40 degrees F., hang your deer in a spare refrigerator for a couple of weeks to give the meat time to tenderize for a delicious cut of venison. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Remove everything from your refrigerator, including all the shelving, except for the top shelf. Wash off any stains from inside the refrigerator with a damp towel.

2. Set the air flow of the refrigerator to 32 F. to 39 F. You can leave a thermometer in the refrigerator to ensure that the temperature setting is correct.

3. Place a pan at the bottom of the refrigerator and line it with paper towels. The paper towels will allow you to make sure that the blood is properly leaching out of the deer, which indicates that the meat is tenderizing.

4. Hang a rope from the top shelf to get it ready to hang the deer. Use a rope that is strong enough to hold the deer.

5. Tie the rope around the deer. If your refrigerator is too small, you will have to butcher part of the deer before placing it in the refrigerator.

Access Internet On An Unlocked Cell Phone With The Wrong Carrier

Mobile phones access the Internet via GPRS settings.

When you unlock a phone to work on a different wireless carrier, you must provision that device, or change the GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) settings in the device to allow it to access the Internet network of the provider. You need to provision the phone because each provider has its own access point, IP addresses and gateways to the Internet. With the advent of OTA (over the air) updates, getting your device provisioned is as easy as calling your new service provider.

Instructions

1. Contact your current service provider via a land line or alternate mobile phone. When you call customer care you must call from a phone other than the one you are updating, but you must have it with you in order to receive the OTA.

2. Tell the customer service rep that you are using an unlocked phone that belonged to a different provider and you need the GPRS settings for the device. They will need to know the brand and model of phone you are using before they can send you the OTA. Outside of the GPRS settings, service providers keep very little information on phones they do not sell to their customers, so knowing exactly what device you are using will be helpful in getting the correct OTA settings.

3. Accept the OTA download that will be sent to your phone by opening the text message you receive and selecting "Save." If you already have an Internet service package on your phone, you will be able to access the Internet. If you do not have an Internet service package, you must add one.

Read Ping Test Results

The ping command can help troubleshoot a local or wide area network.

Ping is a computer program originally designed by Mike Muuss in 1983 to troubleshoot a network and its connections by sending packets of data to another computer and then measuring the time before a response is received. The process is known as "pinging" a computer. Since its inception, the ping command can now be used on any Windows, Mac or Linux computer. The results will often tell you a lot about the speed of the connection and help to troubleshoot problems.

Instructions

1. Type "ping" followed by a space and an IP address, such as 75.186.129.75, or a domain name, such as yahoo.com. Press "Enter." This will start the ping command and attempt to ping the remote server. The ping command should be typed into a terminal window on a Linux or Mac machine, or in a command window on a Windows machine. You can access a command window by clicking "Start" then "Run" and typing "cmd" into the box.

2. Read the first line to view the server's host name. This will confirm that you are connected to the correct server. This is followed by the number of bytes that were sent to the server, usually 32 bytes.

3. Read the following four lines to view the response time from the server. The bytes entry shows how many bytes of data were sent back, the time entry shows how many milliseconds the response took to return, and the TTL entry is the total routers the packet will travel through before stopping. If this section reads "Request timed out" the packets could not find the host, and there may be a connection problem.

4. Read the "Ping statistics" section to see the total numbers for the ping process. The packets line lists the number of packets sent and received, and the number and percentage of packets that were lost. If there were any packets lost, there is likely a connection problem.

5. Read the "Approximate round trip times" section to obtain a general idea of your connection speed. The higher the average time in milliseconds, the slower the connection to the server. Ping times to computers and servers on your local network will usually be much faster than those on the Internet.

Use A Digital Camera As A Webcam

Webcams are a great way to make Internet communication more personal. To start video conferencing, video chatting or even broadcasting events live over the Internet, you don't need to own a webcam. Many digital cameras cannot only function as a webcam, but function better than most designated webcams.

Instructions

1. Check the manual of your digital camera to see if it can be used as a webcam. Many digital cameras have this functionality and even come with webcam software. If your camera didn't come with webcam software, use a third party web cam application such as SarmSoft WebCam. Find SarmSoft WebCam at ShareUp.com.

2. Plug your digital camera's power adapter into the camera. Some won't function as a webcam unless they are plugged into A/C power. Even if your digital camera functions as a webcam while on batteries, A/C power saves your batteries and prevents your camera from shutting off in the middle of a broadcast.

3. Connect a video cable into your digital camera's video "out" port. Your camera likely came with a cable made for connecting it to a to a video source. Plug the other end of the video cable into your video card's video "in" port.

4. Set up your camera as close to your monitor as possible. This allows better face to face communication.

5. Position yourself about 2 to 3 feet away from your digital camera. Most digital camera's focus best at this distance when used as a webcam.

6. Use a separate microphone if your digital camera doesn't transmit sound when used as a webcam. Plug the microphone into the microphone jack of your sound card.

Turn this button on and the remaining battery percentage should appear next to the battery icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

3. Download a third-party application for the battery. A number of applications have a battery feature. They typically tell you the percentage of remaining charge, but also give you additional information. These applications can tell you how long that charge will last while performing various functions like surfing the web on 3G, on WiFi, playing a game, etc. AppBox is one of the highest-ranked applications with this feature, and it has many additional features for only 99 cents.

Unlock A Blackberry 8100 With Tmobile

When you purchase a new cell phone from a carrier such as T-Mobile, the phone will come locked, making it only usable on that network. This can become an inconvenience when you want to switch carriers, but still want to use the same phone. To use your phone on another network, you must unlock your phone by entering a 16-digit unlock code. T-Mobile uses the GSM network, and unlocking the Blackberry Pearl 8100 will make the phone compatible with any other carrier also on the GSM network. In other words, the phone can be used on any network that uses SIM cards.

Instructions

1. Call T-Mobile and ask for an unlock code. T-Mobile's phone number is 800-937-8997. In most cases, as long as the customer is in good standing, T-Mobile will provide the unlock code. If you're unable to get the code from T-Mobile, you can also purchase the code online. A few popular dealers include iUnlock Blackberry, Cheap Unlocks and Unlock-Blackberry. (See Resources.)

2. Insert the SIM card into your phone if it's not already inserted.

3. Press the red power button to turn the phone on. Press the "Menu" key, select "Manage Connections," and then select to turn off all connections.

4. Select "Options," followed by "Advanced Options."

5. Scroll through the list and select "SIM Card."

6. Type "MEPPD."

7. Next, hold down the "Alt" button and then press "2."

8. Enter your 16-digit unlock code. Press "Enter" when finished.

9. Press the power key to turn the phone off and then press it once more to turn it back on. Your Blackberry 8100 is now unlocked.

Use Dvdr Disks

DVDs often come in bulk.

DVD-R discs can store several gigabytes of data, depending on their type. In addition to simple data storage, they can also be used to create your own playable DVD videos, or even to load programs. Spindles of DVD-R discs are available at many brick-and-mortar and online retailers. With the plethora of options for burning software now available, burning your own DVDs is a quick and easy process after a bit of initial setup.

Instructions

1. Insert your blank DVD-R into your computer's DVD burner. Allow the drive to read the disc. The burning software you installed should automatically launch. Launch the burning program manually if it does not launch automatically.

2. Select the specific function you wish to use. Many programs make the process of burning files onto a DVD-R as easy as possible by presenting you a number of options. There are generally options to create one of many different types of DVDs, including video discs, to bootable image discs and data-storage discs.

3. Drag and drop files or click and add them to the list of files to be burned, depending on the interface of the software you are using. Click the "Burn" icon or button after you have finished selecting files.

4. Select the burn settings if you are prompted to do so. Depending on the program, it may ask you what speed you wan to use for the burn --- higher multipliers mean faster burns, and slower multipliers mean slower burns. Name the disc if the program asks you to do so. Click "Burn" or "OK," depending on the interface to start the burn.

Unlock A Sim Card For An Lg Phone

Get the freedom of an unlocked phone.

LG phones are known for their cutting-edge technology, sleek designs and good looks. However none of this will do you any good if you can't make a call on it, which may be the case if your phone is locked. This is something that mobile service providers often do to prevent their clients from moving to another company. The simple answer is to unlock it, which is neither illegal nor particularly difficult to do.

Instructions

1. Get the IMEI number for your phone. This is also known as the International Mobile Equipment Identification Number. You can do this in one of two ways. Remove your battery, and look for the 15- to 17-digit number underneath it, or type in *#06# and wait for it to appear on your screen. Once you've gotten it, write it down on a piece of paper.

2. Find a website that sells unlock codes for LG phones, like TheTravelInsider.com. GSMLiberty.net and GlobalUnlock.com (see Resources). As of 2010 these sites charge between $9.99-$24.99 for their unlock codes (prices as of 2010).

3. Go to the site that you have chosen and enter the IMEI number. Find the make and enter LG, then enter the model of your phone, the country that your phone is registered in along with the mobile service provider, and click "Submit." This will bring you to the next page, where you must enter your payment details and a valid e-mail address.

4. Get the unlock codes from your e-mail.

5. Turn your phone off, removing the battery and the SIM card.

6. Get a SIM card from a different network. If you don't have one, borrow one from a friend or purchase a prepaid card from any convenience store.

7. Replace your battery and turn the phone back on. When it comes on, it will ask you for a code. Simply enter the one that you got in your e-mail exactly as you see it. Do not add any additional spaces or characters. Enter "OK" and wait a few seconds. The phone will beep and flash and turn off.

8. Wait a few more seconds and it will turn back on automatically. If it doesn't push the "On" button. When it comes back look at the top of the screen. If the unlock was successful the new network name will show. If it doesn't work the first time, try the unlock code again.

What Is The Si Diamond Rating

Choosing a perfect diamond may be impossible and costly, but choosing the perfect diamond for you is made possible by understanding the characteristics that make up a diamond. When selecting a diamond one of the key elements to look for is clarity.

Clarity

Clarity refers to how visible the appearance of any feathers, clouds or tiny crystals, all referred to as inclusions, are to the naked eye or under a 10x magnification. Clarity is broken up into six categories. The clarity of your diamond could fall under any of the six classifications: flawless (F), which has no inclusions; internally flawless (IF), which has no internal inclusions, but some external inclusions; very very slightly included (VVS1 & VVS2), which has minute inclusions that are very difficult to detect even under 10x magnification; very slightly included (VS1 & VS2), which has minute inclusions that are seen with some difficulty under 10x magnification; slightly included (SI1 & SI2), which has minute inclusions that are easily seen under 10x magnification, but not the naked eye; and included (I1, I2 & I3), which has inclusions visible both to the naked eye and easily under 10x magnification.

SI Diamond Rating

A diamond falling under an SI (slightly included) clarity rating means it has inclusions that are visible under 10x magnification and unlikely to be visible to the naked eye.

SI Scale

The SI ratings range from SI1 to SI2, and sometimes SI3 in an ascending scale of inclusions, thus SI1 contains the least inclusions among the SI class.

Clarity and Cost

Clarity affects the cost of your diamond. For example, if you have a 1.00 carat diamond with a G color and SI1 clarity, to move from SI1 to a VS1, you will pay approximately an additional $1,000 per carat. VS1 clarity has minute inclusions seen with difficulty under 10x magnification and so is one class up from an SI rating. SI rated diamonds are good for those with a budget but still want a diamond that is clear to the naked eye.

SI Diamond Rating Value

A diamond's clarity affects the value, not the unmagnified appearance.

Lists Of Free Spyware & Malware Removal Software

Spyware is dangerous to the health of a computer, and it can send your private information back to scammers who can break into your accounts or steal your identity. There are thousands of commercial programs that can be used to protect against malware (malicious software), but consumers can also use free anti-spyware that works just as well.

Lavasoft Ad-Aware

Ad-aware is anti-spyware software that removes any spyware that it detects on a hard drive. It automatically checks for and updates its virus definitions to stay on top of new infections. Ad-aware gives users the option to have the program run in real time. This means that it is active in the background, checking for and preventing infections. This software protects against dialers, data mining, Trojans, key loggers and malicious software.

Spybot Search and Destroy

Spybot is often used with Ad-aware to defend against malware and spyware. It has two modes. The first walks new users through setup, and the other is for advanced users to configure. Spybot protects computers from spyware, and it also blocks programs that try to track what you do online. Another option lets users undo changes if the removal of a spyware program causes problems on their computer.

Windows Defender

Defender is a free spyware and malware detection tool that prevents pop-ups and stops malicious code from trying to steal your information or changing browser settings. Windows Defender protects hard drives in real time and blocks or removes unwanted code and software without distracting you from your work. Defender is free for anyone who uses Microsoft Windows.

SuperAntiSpyware

SuperAntiSpyware is a free program that offers advanced protection from rootkits, worms, rogue software, spyware and malware. It will not clash with anti-virus programs that you may have installed on your computer, and it uses very little system resources. It can provide real-time security, and SuperAntiSpyware can do quick scans or a thorough check of all your files. It can also be set to check your files when the computer starts up to catch any hidden spyware that tries to take over at start-up.

Multipoint A Bluetooth

Bluetooth headsets with Multipoint can be paired to two cell phones at once.

Most simple Bluetooth devices, like keyboards, mice, and headsets, can only be "paired" to one other Bluetooth device at a time. Pairing them to a second device erases the connection profile of the first, and requiring the user to go through the pairing process every time he wishes to use the Bluetooth device with different computers or cell phones. Multipoint technology allows a Bluetooth device to retain more than one Bluetooth connection profile at once, allowing users to switch the connection to other devices on the fly. Unfortunately, there is no way to upgrade an existing Bluetooth device with "Multipoint." it's either included in the device at manufacture, or forever unavailable.

Instructions

1. Pair the Multipoint device with a computer, cell phone, or other device. If you are pairing it with a cell phone, consult the owner's manual for the pairing procedure. If you are pairing it with a Windows computer, place the device in "discovery" mode, then click the "Add a device" button in the "Devices and Printers" control panel. Enter the device's security pass key when prompted.

2. Pair the Multipoint device with another Bluetooth device, following the procedure detailed in the device's owner's manual.

3. Reconnect the Multipoint device to the first device you paired it to. This process differs between different mobile devices, but an easy way to to this in Windows is to simply right-click on the device in the "Devices and Printers" window and select "Properties," causing the computer to request information from the Multipoint device.

Activate The Gprs Settings

General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a service that lets you access the Web on your handheld device. It's a network-provided service that's available for phones operating on GSM networks only (like T-Mobile and AT&T). Although most modern cell phones support GPRS, you still have to activate it and input the required settings to make it work. Activation is simple, but you have to contact your carrier to achieve this objective.

Instructions

1. Ring up the customer service line of your cellular service provider.

2. Tell the technical support rep that you want to add GPRS service to your account. Tell him your account login name/phone number. You will also have to tell him your handset model, so make sure you know what it is beforehand.

3. Wait for an SMS (text message) to arrive on your cell phone. This SMS will contain the GPRS settings for your particular handset. Open the SMS and the settings will be updated on the phone automatically.

Install A Turbo Sim

A Turbo SIM enhances a regular SIM card.

A Turbo SIM is a parallel card that goes into your phone. Paired with your SIM, this card unlocks the phone so that it can be used on any network. Essentially, a Turbo SIM is a convenient way to crack a phone without having to use or pay for a password. To service providers, however, this could still be construed as a violation of their terms of service.

Instructions

1. Turn off your phone and locate the SIM card. For iPhones, this is on side of the device, but with other phones you may have to pull off the back guard and remove the battery.

2. Open the SIM gate and remove the card.

3. Consult with Turbo SIM on whether your card will need to be cut. Some devices may not need to be cut, but other SIM cards may have to be, just to fit the Turbo SIM and the SIM together.

4. Cut the card with a hole punch in the area required by your specific SIM card.

5. Pair the Turbo SIM with the SIM and place it into the SIM slot. If you had to remove the battery, replace it at this time, along with the phone's back guard.

6. Turn the phone on.

Use Google Maps Without An Internet Connection

The world is your digital oyster, made accessible through Google Maps even without the Internet.

After centuries burdened by stacks of static, environmentally unfriendly paper maps, navigation technology took a giant leap into the modern age with the advent of the electronically stored map. Now, not only can you plot the best routes from your home to every Wi-Fi enabled hot spot in the country, but Google Maps allows you to virtually hover over a satellite image of the entire earth, rather than keeping you confined to the borders of a square sheet of folded paper.

Yet, the question of apply that technology to the road--armed with only a laptop, sans Internet connection--has long plagued the Garmin-less masses.

Fortunately, the solution requires only a bit of preparation and foresight before leaving the comfort of your Wi-Fi cloud.

Instructions

Preparation

1. Charge your laptop. Nothing will kill your plans for Internet-free navigation faster than a loudly beeping laptop, protesting as you drain the last 10 percent of its battery power. Consider taking an extra battery if you have one.

2. Load the map you want to access while away from the Internet on maps.google.com. This might involve searching the address of that tough-to-find locale or plotting your route using Google Maps' directions feature. Use several Web browser windows or tabs if you need more than one map.

3. Focus Google Maps on the area you need to see while away from Internet. Google Maps will store some of the surrounding area in your computer's memory, but not everything.

4. Zoom in close so the more detailed map loads if you need to see side streets, rather than just the wide-angle view of major highways.

5. Scroll Google Maps to the area with which you're less familiar, if using the program for long or complicated directions. Instead, use the listed directions to the left of the map to remind you of major intersections or highway exits in the areas you can navigate without much prompting.

Leaving the Internet Behind

6. Keep your browser windows open. Put your laptop on standby or hibernate if you need to save battery power before using Google Maps.

7. Avoid accidentally clicking a link for an ad on the page or pressing the back button after the Internet connection is gone. If your Internet browser tries to load something else without an active connection, you might not be able to get back to the Google map you were referencing.

8. Scroll back to the area you had loaded, if the map accidentally goes flying toward the Arctic Ocean. If you can get back to it, the details of that area should stay saved in your computer's memory.

9. Reference the listed directions, if you're using Google Maps on the road, even if the map for your entire route isn't saved.
